Equipment Failure Alert

• Internal boiler failure alarm

Provided by boiler vendor.

• Boiler failure to operate when expected

Heating supply water temperature is evaluated compared to expected control setpoint temperature using standard reset schedule.

HVAC Design Alert

• Heating loop temperature values outside expected boundaries

Heating loop supply and return heating water temperature difference is continuously evaluated for excessively high temperature differences.

Unnecessary Boiler Energy Alert

• Boiler operating at higher temperatures than necessary

Boiler supply water temperature is evaluated for running higher than expected compared the standard reset schedule.

Temperature Control Alert

• Fan failure to run when expected

Fan operation is evaluated with fan enable command and fan actual operation for expected running.

Environmental Alert

• Return air temperatures outside acceptable limits

Room space temperatures are evaluated, using return air temperature, compared to upper and lower limits normally expected for reasonable environmental comfort.
